Li Bing extended a warm welcome to Mr. Boateng and the SIGA delegation and provided an overview of the reform of China's State-owned enterprises (SOEs). He said that SASAC is ready to collaborate with SIGA to strengthen exchange of experience in SOE reform and development, as well as to support cooperation between SOEs of both sides under the Belt and Road Initiative and the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, in line with the course set by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Mr. Boateng commended China's achievements in SOE reform and development and expressed admiration for the significant role that Chinese SOEs have played in driving China's economic and social development, particularly in assisting poverty alleviation and improving the well-being of the people. He expressed his hope for deepening his nation's understanding of China's experience in state-owned assets supervision and SOE reform and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between SOEs of the two countries.
Officials from SIGA and executives from relevant SOEs of Ghana attended the meeting. Following the meeting, a session of China-Ghana experience sharing on SOE reform and oversight was jointly held by two sides.
