Rio de Janeiro, the second-largest city in Brazil, is a famous tourist destination in South America. Both the Olympic Games and the FIFA World Cup have been held in the city. In addition to Samba and football, the city is also known for its "poverty-stricken communities". According to statistics, about 1.4 million people in Rio de Janeiro live in mountainous areas, accounting for about 22 percent of the total population of the city. The subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China (State Grid) in Brazil has funded a community music school, in which 6,000 children from poverty-stricken communities have changed their lives.
