World's Largest Theater Cluster Opens in China

"Unique Henan, Land of Dramas," the world's largest theater cluster, opened to the public on June 6 in Zhengzhou, Central China's Henan Province.

Built by China State Construction Engineering Corporation, the theater cluster, consisting of 21 theaters, covers an area of about 400,000 square meters and can hold as many as 10,000 audience members.

The main part of the project includes a core theater, a scenario simulation venue, loam walls, dorms, office buildings and supporting facilities.

It is expected to promote the culture and stories of the regions along the Yellow River. It is also a model in the transformation and upgrading of Henan's cultural tourism industry and building a strong cultural province.
