The 900-megawatt fifth phase of the photovoltaic power project in Dubai was connected to the grid on June 4. All generator units are operating stably.
Located in the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the 900-MW project covers an area of 10.17 square kilometers.
Upon final completion, the project is expected to provide nearly 2.27 billion kilowatt-hours of clean power annually to 270,000 households. It will play a role in building Dubai into a clean-energy city.
It is contracted by Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Energy China Group).
