A Xinzhou-600 aircraft, carrying an anti-pandemic expert team and relevant supplies, arrived at Luang Prabang Airport in Vientiane, Laos on May 9.
The chartered flight ensured timely support to the anti-pandemic fight against an outbreak of COVID-19 which has been occurring in northern Laos since April.
The 50-seat Xinzhou-600 is a regional jet completely developed by China. More than 110 of them had been delivered to China and countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Laos is the first buyer of the aircraft in Asia. Since 2006, eight Xinzhou-600 aircraft have been playing their role in civil airlines, governmental flights and emergency rescue operations.
With outstanding performance in its technical functions and services as well as low operation costs, the aircraft has won the favor of the local government and the people of Laos. It creates a bridge of friendship between China and Laos and contributes to building a community with a shared future for the two countries.
