Updated: 2021-06-04

CRRC Corporation Limited (CRRC) held an open house event through livestreaming at its plant in Australia on May 28, showcasing Chinese railway transportation equipment technology and reviewing its cooperation with local enterprises and government.

CRRC Times Electric Australia Co., Ltd. (CTEA) is a production base that CRRC built in Australia in 2018.

It is mainly responsible for production of traction systems, adjustment of local subway trains that are in operation, and after-sale service of the components.

Committed to local manufacturing, purchasing, recruitment, maintenance and repairing and management, the company has brought fresh blood to the Australian automobile industrial chain and created jobs for local people, contributing to the country's economic transformation.

According to Alston, manager at CTEA's plant, public transport in Melbourne is under great pressure as the system needs to transport 28 million tourists annually. He expressed his pride in being able to contribute to improving local public transport.

The livestreaming closed with a review of CRRC's cooperation with local government and enterprises that has led to win-win results and contributed to local development and cultural exchange events launched by the company.

For example, CRRC held photo exhibitions of wild animals and rail transit, intending to introduce the animals and show the company's respect for nature. It was also a practice of the company in achieving harmony between humans and wildlife.

It also invited the public to some of its plants before the COVID-19 outbreak to help people learn more about the company.
