Pakistan Inks Implementation Agreement for Kohala Hydropower Station

The Government of Pakistan (GoP)'s implementation agreement (IA) for the Kohala Hydropower Station project was signed on May 6 in Islamabad.

By that time, the project had obtained four franchise agreements – the Power Purchase Agreement, the GoP-IA, the AJ&K-IA and the Water Use Agreement, marking a milestone of the project's preliminary work.

The project was contracted by China Three Gorges Corporation's branch in South Asia and is a result of the energy cooperation plan under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
