China-developed Equipment on Display on China Brand Day

Updated: 2021-05-12

Outstanding China-made high-end equipment demonstrates the increasing awareness of innovation of central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and their efforts to advance the country's self-reliance and self-improvement in science and technology.

"China strength", "China height", "China depth", "China power" and "China speed" are exemplified by various hardware like the Hualong One technology developed by China National Nuclear Corporation, the manned space program presided over by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the Jiaolong deep-sea manned submersibles built by China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, the high-speed trains manufactured by CRRC Corporation Limited (CRRC), and the construction technologies developed by China Railway Group Limited (CREC).

Many of the achievements could be reviewed at the China Smart Manufacturing Brand Forum & Chinese Central SOEs High-end Equipment Manufacturing Innovation Exhibition held on May 10, China Brand Day, in Beijing.

At the event, central SOEs including China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, China First Heavy Industries, China National Machinery Industry Corporation Ltd, CRRC, China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd. and China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) shared their measures and achievements in transformation of industrial structures and factor input, smart manufacturing and brand building.

Representatives of the central SOEs delivered speeches on smart manufacturing of aircraft engines, industrial chains under the dual-circulation development pattern as well as innovation in and the future of China-made bridges.

Themed "China Smart Manufacturing and High-quality Development", the Chinese Central SOEs High-end Equipment Manufacturing Innovation Exhibition was attended by 22 central SOEs.

Models of more than 30 pieces of equipment like the largest-diameter tunnel boring machine (TBM), a low-speed maglev train, and the Hualong One nuclear power plant, as well as the Hongqi H9 sedan made by China FAW Group Corporation and i-Land high-end electric vehicles, were on display at the exhibition.

Visitors were able to try operating some of the equipment in CCCC's virtual reality booth and CREC's TBM driving simulator at the event.

Under the guidance of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), the event was jointly held by the News Center of the SASAC and CREC.
