Construction of China's first foreign-aid complete new energy project in Moldova recently started.
Located in Criuleni, the project includes construction of a photovoltaic power system and an electrical system, as well as a 10kV electricity distribution room and supporting facilities.
It has a designed installed capacity of 2.8 megawatts and is expected to result in 2.86 million kWh of power connecting to the grid annually. It will be the largest solar power station in Moldova.
Upon completion, the project is expected to relieve the country's energy shortages and will contribute to its energy structure improvement.
In addition, the project will help lower local power price and improve energy security.
Sinohydro Bureau 9 Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Power Construction Corporation of China, will be responsible for the project.
