Energy China Group to Deliver Solar Power Project in Saudi

Guangdong Power Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Energy China Group) has agreed via videoconference to contract the 300MW Rabigh solar photovoltaic project in Saudi Arabia.

One of the major components of the country's Vision 2030 energy transformation strategy, the project, valued at more than 1.2 billion yuan ($183.84 million), is expected to produce 894 million kWh of power in its first year of operation and about 21.4 billion kWh by 2025, which will effectively optimize Saudi's energy structure and contribute to local environmental protection.

The clean power will benefit 45,300 households and the project is estimated to create 900 jobs for local people.
