A total of 1.05 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine developed by China National Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. were delivered to Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic, on March 18 by China Eastern Air Holding Co. Ltd (China Eastern).
Traveling about 15,988 kilometers, it was China's first intercontinental chartered cargo flight for vaccine transport.
Many countries have shown their willingness to purchase China-developed COVID-19 vaccines and air shipment is the most convenient and efficient as well as safest transport method.
China Eastern's Eastern Air Logistics Co., Ltd. immediately prepared the RAP dedicated incubator after it was appointed for the delivery mission. The company also opened a green passage to improve security checks and uploading efficiency to guarantee high-quality transport of the vaccine.
