An online open day event at the Bulim Square project in Singapore was held by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) on Nov 27.
Themed "Witness Happiness", the event showcased some of CSCEC's global projects.
Covering an area of 400,000 square meters, the Bulim Square project is part of the first phase of the Jurong Innovation District (JID) project and the most valuable industrial project CSCEC has ever contracted in the country.
Upon completion, the square will be the first landmark in the JID.
A part of an enterprise hub integrating research and development and advanced manufacturing and innovation, the project adopted Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology and CSCEC-developed three-dimension (3D) models during construction. It is expected to promote industry 4.0 in Singapore.
Standing in front of the 3D digital sand table of the project, Rob Sanchez, CSCEC's senior BIM manager, explained that the project includes construction of four 5/6-storey buildings, a double-layer comprehensive basement and supporting infrastructure.
The project will be connected to other areas to build a smart, highly-sustainable and livable community.
Special digital integrated management has also been put in place at the project site to improve work efficiency during the construction.
CSCEC has contributed to more than 200 high-quality projects in the past 28 years and won 196 building awards in Singapore. The company will continue its devotion to Singapore's development with high-quality services.
