Zhao Aiming, Vice Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), attended the third meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation of Northeast China and the Far East and Baikal Region of Russia via video link at the Diaoyutai State Guest House in Beijing on Sept 29, 2020.
The meeting was co-chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua and Yury Trutnev, Russia's Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy to Russia's Far Eastern Federal District.
The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on activities such as investment cooperation and resumption of work and production, soybean-related cooperation and access of agricultural products, port and cross-border infrastructure construction, and local-level cooperation.
They also reached a number of cooperative agreements during the meeting.
As the Chinese member of the Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation of Northeast China and the Far East and Baikal Region of Russia, SASAC has been actively implementing and acting on the decisions and plans of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council and resolutely promoting the participation of Chinese central state-owned enterprises in bilateral cooperation. A number of such enterprises have already been involved in cooperative projects in the region.
