Ren noted that facing the sudden outbreak of COVID-19, central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) have resolutely acted on the important instructions of President Xi Jinping and carried out the decisions and arrangements made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.
Central SOEs have spearheaded efforts, assumed great responsibilities, made full use of their strengths in fundamentally safeguarding and fulfilled their mission in the battle against COVID-19. They have exerted a strong driving force and played important roles in economic and social recovery. Putting unity and coordination into full play, they have also contributed China's strength to the global fight against the pandemic, and backed up their responsibilities with concrete actions.
Ren said that SASAC and central SOEs will act on the spirit of the speech given by President Xi at the 73rd World Health Assembly, insist on putting the people and their lives first, take the initiative, strengthen cooperation and coordination with all parties, and strive to contribute more to the battle against COVID-19 and to secure economic and social development goals. Humanity with a shared future will ultimately defeat the virus and embrace a brighter tomorrow.
