On October 10, 2019, Ren Hongbin, Vice Chairman of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), met with Professor Peter Nolan, Director of the China Center of Jesus College, University of Cambridge.
The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation, promoting exchanges between Chinese and foreign companies, and working together to hold high-quality CELP Benchmarking World-class Companies Program (CELP Program).
Ren pointed out that the CELP Program successfully held by SASAC and China Center of Jesus College, University of Cambridge in 2018 and 2019 were highly acclaimed by all parties. He hoped both sides to make joint efforts to optimize trainee selection and curriculum structure, and contribute more to the CELP Program and exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign companies.
Nolan mentioned that the success of CELP Program owes to the support and joint efforts of SASAC and University of Cambridge.
In the complicated and unpredictable international environment, he hoped that the CELP Program will serve as a learning platform for Chinese central SOEs and prominent companies from other countries and a window for the world to know more about China and Chinese central SOEs.
