C919 commercial aircraft

On May 5, 2017, the C919 commercial aircraft independently developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. had its successful maiden flight at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, marking a historic breakthrough in the Chinese nation's centenary "dream of commercial aircraft". It indicated that after half a century's difficult explorations, China finally obtained the basic capability of developing a modern trunk airliner.
